Meet the manimals

Well recently amongst one or two friends and I have been thinking of the "Island of dr Hibbert" segment from THOH XIII. Actually, I started it.

I don't usually do group shots often but I like how this turned out. I also had a bit more contrast in shading, which actually looks pretty cool, I never actually noticed a door like that in the house of pain but I added it anyway. I wanted to add Rat Sherri&Terri in the corner for some kind of time paradox but I didn't want to push my luck on what I had already drawn. I haven't given them clothes for now but their bodies aren't fully human anyway, the only exception is Terri since her upper body is the same. I guess she was changed into the blue prison-type outfit before she was manimalised.

So anyway, the manimals themselves;

Sherri: I chose an armadillo like form for her, since it kinda fitted in with her butt length hair. It was hard to find a decent referance so I just used the Mother 3 Zombidillo sprite, even if it didn't look much like a real armadillo. Given her energetic nature she mostly likes to spend her time rolling about aimlessly. She's the "little big sis" now but she doesn't mind. Originally I was going to give her pink skin and creamish white ears but thought the inverse looked better.

Anita: I just gave her that name, I heard that her name was Adrian but I never saw anything of the likes on the show so I went with Anita because it just sounds better. She's a rabbit but given the way Terri's looking at her I don't think it matters.

Terri: I think the usual name used for what Terri is happens to be a "Naga" but looking around places like wikipedia what I saw wasn't a definate affirmation of such a name. Instead I just say she's a snaketaur, actually her snake half was based on the yellow anaconda (green is cliche) so she's pretty much a yellow anacondataur... Try saying that three times fast! Although her tongue serves the same function as a normal snake's but with decent eyesight and hearing and a superior sense of smell and doesn't need to use anything else so if she sticks her tongue out, chances are she's just maing faces.

Being partly snake, she doesn't hold back from eating other manimals. No specific one mind you, anything between a hamster or a cougar is a possible snack to her. She doesn't go for humans or armadillos, she considers it to be cannibalism. She's pretty deluded in that way.

I definately had fun coming up with these and it took quite a long time too. Enjoy!
