TOAS Sherri Terri Concept V1.0 by SuperKoopaTroopa TOAS Sherri Terri Concept V1.0 by SuperKoopaTroopa
That's right, it's yet another design. Just got to get the bio, Janey, Maggie and the new Simpsons backstory, then I can actually do normal art. The twins bio will be separate so it doesn't distract from this.

During the tryouts (which I might just move to scraps) it seemed number 5 was the most popular, so that's what I went with. With a few changes, they're filled out a bit and have eyelashes, most of which are covered by the bangs.

Sherri and Terri have undoubtably undergone the most alterations, though their outfits are not so different, no colours have been changed and the hair is the same. Most of the changes are done on their physical features. The end result? Just love it! That's all i have to say.

I'll probably do the bio, backstory and then Maggie in that order.

Edit: I should mention the background pattern was made by :icona2j3: I don't know him/her but I'm still grateful.

You're drawings are really cool :) What program do you use to color them and stuff?

Thanks, I always use GIMP it's free and opensource so anyone can use it. I can provide a link if you wish.

Neither did I for a long time but once you know the same tricks I do it's actually very easy.

Do you like sketch the drawings first and line art them on gimp, or do you like just do it all on gimp?

I couldn't possibly do it solely from Gimp. I sketch, scan (messily, I'm always jealous of clean scans) and then use Gimp for anything else.

Not having a tablet I always use the path tool for lining. There's a special little trick which makes the colouring easier. Would you like to know?

I do all my MS paint drawings directly on MS paint, thats like why i asked (kind of stupid question) XP

That would be awesome to know :)

Assuming you already found out how to change the size of the pen/pencil tool when I make the lines using the path tool on the stoke path window I select "stoke with a paint tool" and then pencil (at minimum size) if done right it should make a line one pixel thick. Then I just colour with the bucket fill like in ms paint. After that make a thicker line with the stroke line option on a layer above the colouring.

I know it's a little confusing but if you try to get the gist of it you'll probably find out what I mean.:)

To say the least!:glomp:

I just figured that since the two have been considered attractive in the show (Bart and Donny I think) I felt it was only appropriate to amp up the cuteness level!

I'm not sure Donny was attracted to them. It was shown that one of the twins crushed on him, but it wasn't implied that it was reciprocated. (By the way, it was the episode "Hungry Hungry Homer" I think..)

You're thinking of Tommy there. I meant Donny from The DeBarted, when he used a rigged cootie catcher he said something like "Whoah Sherri. Ah man!" gladly at the result.

With those eyelashes Tommy looks like a butch girl.

You make them look a little friendlier than they look on the show. I think that's because their eyes are bigger. In any case you do a fantastic job with them. :)

More of their eyes show too. That helps a lot.

Hopefully they don't look any younger than 9.

Thanks!

I'll hopefully be done with the bios tonight. Then I can move on to the new Homer and Marge. Or deal with Maggie, which would you prefer.

I'd finish Maggie first, maybe it's cause I'm really eager to see what you do with her. :D

You sure? What I have in mind, personality wise, might earn negative points. She's very different to what one might expect.

I haven't finalised her appearance yet but she takes after both of her parents, slightly slanty eyes and a Homer-like bumpy overbite for example.

Aye! She takes after both of them the most!

Yeah, it helps to distinguish her from Lisa too.

While I don't really want to change what I had in mind, I'm a little unnerved about how her initial character will be recieved...

I'd love to to hear about your alterations to her! Most people seem to make her this super-smart girl (which I don't mind), with a mean streak a mile wide. @_@

The most frequent characterisation I've seen is an (uninspired) Bart/Lisa mesh.

... You're someone I can trust. Could I run my idea through you via notes or something, keep in mind you don't have to help if you don't want to.
