Sherri with Jessica Lovejoy, with one of her previous girlfriends before settling on Lisa. When I was considering Sherri's permanent lover, Jess was actually one of the first ones who came to mind. Here's what I had in mind for them...

Far from reformed, Jess seemed to act a little better to most of her peers through focusing on tormenting her mom and dad. She always tried to offend and shock them whenever she could (a bit understandable considering she was ignored and even sent away to boarding school when she was younger).
When she heard that Sherri, who was about fourteen at the time, had come out as a lesbian* (in truth, she was actually bisexual, she just thought the former would be better accepted) Jess immediately realised, she could really twist the knife with her overly religious parents.

Pretending to also be lesbian, Jessica sucessfully convinced Sherri into dating her. Although as time went by she realised that she actually enjoyed Sherri's company and actually tried to make the relationship work, especially showing Sherri with presents. However when she tried to introduce Sherri to her mom and dad (and not for the sake of malice) they reacted rather predictably, blaming Sherri for "Corrupting" their daughter, naming and shaming her in the Reverand's sermons and even encouraging fellow Christian fundamentalists to outright harass poor Sherri. Jessica was left with no choice but to break up with Sherri rather harshly, for her own good. After then she went from merely bothering her parents to outright hating them...

*Initially Sherri only came out to her family, Lisa, Alex, Allison and Janey. Except Janey, being an idiot, ended up telling everyone about it.
