I didn't mention this on the journal but I really needed something uplifting today.

But enough about that.

A few friends of mine have been doing some Summer themed pics recently so why not? Also, I wanted to do more with Allison. No particular reason though, I just wanted to. I also wanted to have her be a bit closer to some of Lisa's other friends. They hardly interact with Lisa, I don't think we've seen any of them together without Lisa.

Allison's giving her new mine detctor a try (she got it from a certain confused, senile stranger) at the beach and she brought Sherri and Terri along with her. Only Sherri is actually of any help though, Terri would rather just sit on the sidelines and scarf down hotdogs even when Allison and Sherri found something. Also this marks the first time I've drawn Allison actually wearing those nerd-tastic goggles, they're just for show mind you. It's probably just another alternate ending to a classic movie.

It's not shaded but I just wanted it to be a simple quickie. Maybe I should of done this with a colour outline. I did have a referance for the detctor but the lines were really unclear so there's likely an error or four in there.

Well she's not usually that tubby. The way I usually draw her tummy is low down, kind of wide but not tall. It's just here she's already too much too eat, far too much.

Besides, Bart is hardly a stick insect himself.

So true, but he hasn't exactly got a good role-model in Homer, has he?

In my reality, Bart lost the fat when puberty kicked in, and also started exercising more through his teens, taking up kick-boxing as an alternative outlet for his ADD-fueled hyperactivity (e.g. his pranking and general mischievous behavior). He also buckled-down and concentrated more on his education thanks to the influence Allison during his short-lived relationship with her.

Well Terri does eventually lose weight about ten years later, her appetite doesn't change one bit but she makes a few lifestyle changes to balance it out a little more.

I really like Sherri's hair up like that. I'm glad she'll be wearing it like that more when she's older.

I'm also glad you're bringing Allison in more. I really liked her as a character and they should have used her more. Overall an adorable picture.

Sherri's hair from her tweener and teens is actually a combination of the one here the usual very long hair.
